FAQ'S
Are you licensed? Yes, all of our therapists are state licensed and insured.
I've never had a massage before, what should I expect? Your therapist will have you fill out some paperwork giving her information needed to get to know what your expectations are, and to get a health and medical history. Your first appointment will include a consultation to review this information and make sure you are able to receive a massage based on this information and to discuss with you what type of treatment is needed. After this she will bring you into the massage room and explain to you how to lie on the table under the sheets. Your therapist will then exit the room to allow you to undress and get under the sheet. She will knock before entering the room. See the service menu page to get full descriptions of all the massages we do.
Is there anything I need to do or wear to prepare for the massage? It is always requested that you come clean and showered before your massage. You may wear comfortable clothing if you prefer, but in most cases you will be disrobing to your comfort level and lying underneath sheets. Please do not wear any scents or perfumes.
Do I have to take all of my clothes off? No. You will be professionally covered beneath a sheet at all times to protect your modesty. You may undress to your comfort level. Only the areas that the therapist is working on are exposed such as an arm, leg, etc. (Note that the genital area and women’s breasts are covered at all times and never massaged.)
How will the massage feel? Most often it will feel good! You are at all times in control of the pressure. Relaxation massages are intended to feel soothing, during a clinical or deep tissue massage there may be times where a little discomfort is felt to help release the tight tissue. This is always done with a lot of communication to determine what amount is needed and within your comfort level.
Do I tip my therapist? Gratuity is not required, but it is always appreciated. If you feel your therapist has given you exceptional service it is acceptable to tip.
